The Okmulgee Education Foundation (OEF) proudly sponsored the Okmulgee Elementary students trip to see Tchaikovsky's, The Nutcracker, at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center this month.

The performance choreography by Marcello Angelini and music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky bring to life the magic as a young girls fantasy unfolds in this remarkable production that mixes the visuals of a Broadway show with the heartwarming story of a fairytale Christmas.

More than 100 local children join the professional company to help the larger-than‐life Mouse King battle the Nutcracker Prince and his toy soldier brigade.

New elements that premiered in 2012, including a brand new opening party scene and the return of beloved character Mother Ginger, returned again as part of the 2014 production.

The elementary students were mesmerized by all the sights and sounds of the stage.

The Okmulgee school faculty would like to special thank OEF for making this experience possible.

However the boys still had get on the court with the girls to conduct the pep-rally routines.  No matter what, the team came out on top winning their play-off game Friday night 40 to 20 against the Pond-Creek Holand Panthers.
