Mark Stephen Whitfield, 57, former Okmulgee resident died in Denison Texas on Monday, July 29, 2013. He was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma on September 21, 1955 to James Don and Dorothy M. (Rutherford) Whitfield. Mark was preceded in death by a brother Phillip James Whitfield and grandparents Tom and Effie Rutherford and Otis and Emily Whitfield.
Survivors include his wife Lana Whitfield of Denison, TX, two sons Mark and his wife Lori Whitfield of Okmulgee, Matthew and his wife Jen Whitfield of Germany, a sister Becky and her husband Jim Hays of Broken Arrow, OK , one niece Amber and three nephews Brady, Phillip and Kevin, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Mark will be on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 11:00 am at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee,OK with Rev. Bryan Brooks officiating.
Johna Marie Richardson-Cook died Friday, July 26, 2013 at 37 years of age. Johna was born June 3, 1976 in Tulsa to John Edward and Donna June (Crane) Richardson. She was a graduate of Beggs High School Class of 1995. On February 14, 2011 she married Paul Delaney Cook. She loved country music, dancing, sunshine and her kids. Johna worked as an office clerk at the Tulsa RV Ranch.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1998. Johna is survived by her husband Paul of the home, her father John Richardson, two sons: Hunter Cole Morris and Matthew Michael Morris, step son Jakob Dylan Cook, one granddaughter on-the-way, all of Beggs, sister LaDonna Anderson and husband Jerry of Kansas, sister Kymberly Lewis of Okmulgee, twin sister Julie Rogers and husband Brian of Okmulgee, three uncles: Joe Richardson, Danny Richardson and Willie Richardson and wife Aunt Kathleen, two nieces, three nephews, in-laws: Paul and Beverly Cook of Beggs, a very special friend Joyce Taylor and a host of other great nieces, great nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service celebrating Johna’s life will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Crossroads Baptist Church in Beggs with Pastor Travis Markes and Reverend David Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at the Beggs Cemetery. Casket bearers are Jerry Anderson, Ron Jordan, Brian Harjo, Mickey Sheffer, Jason Sadler and Doug Harding. Henry Joseph Moll, longtime Okmulgee resident, died in Okmulgee Friday, July 19, 2013 at 102 years of age. Henry was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on February 7, 1911 to Edmund William and Frances Albertine (Scholten) Moll. In 1921 he moved from Lawton to Okmulgee. Henry was employed at the Beatrice Creamery for eight years before becoming the manager of Rogers Lumber where he worked for 28 years, retiring in 1973. After his retirement from the lumber company, Henry loved a game of golf and taking his bass boat to the surrounding lakes. At a century of age he was still mowing his own yard and was asking his friends to pray for his eyesight so he could keep driving to morning Mass each day. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps and a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church since 1922.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ethel Schlather Moll, son Jim Schlather, sister Frances Moll, and a brother Fr. Boniface E. Moll, OSB.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law Rita Schlather and two granddaughters: Jamie Schlather and Suzanne Wise and many devoted friends.
A Rosary service will be on Tuesday at 7 pm at the McClendon-Winters Chapel and the Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, 10 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Fr. Josh Litwack will be the Celebrant. Pallbearers will be Larry Biddle, Art Porter, Robert Marick, Jett Gill, Gilbert York and Doug Agnew , Bennie Wileman will serve as an Honorary Pallbearers. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Tuesday 1 until 8 pm.
Pamela (Carney) McCabe, 55, went to heaven to be with loved ones on Friday, July 26, 2013 in Okmulgee. Pam was born in Oklahoma City, Ok on June 9, 1958 to Max and Sue Goodman. She graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1976. Attended OSU and was always a loyal OSU Cowboy fan. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Okmulgee. She was preceded in death by her father Max Goodman, grandparents Velma and Charlie Johnson, Eunice and Russell Goodman and uncle L.E. Sheldon, cousin Dean Sheldon and Tom Carney.
She is survived by her children, Patrick and Katy Carney, mother Sue Goodman, sister Lori and her husband Rex Jones, niece Natalie Jones all from Okmulgee, niece Kelli Jones of Colorado, aunt Joyce Sheldon and cousin Lisa and Sandi from Illinois. Also life long friend Jimmy Williams and the Williams family.
A Memorial service for Pam will be on Monday at 11:00 am, at the McClendon-Winters Chapel with Rev. Brian Matthews officiating.

Brett Steven Gross was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 24, 1960, the youngest son of George W. Gross and Evelyn M. Gross. Brett attended Rogers High School in Tulsa. He worked as a CNC operator at Johnson Mfg., Wood Systems, Fadco and Oklahoma Fixture Company/Penloyd.
Brett was preceded in death by both of his parents and by his grandparents, Zula Laru Wakefield Gross and Charles F. Gross of Export, Pennsylvania; Ehtel C. Migchelbrink McAlexander and Clarence H. McAlexander of Holton, Kansas; and brother-in-law, Robert E. Miller of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Brett is survived by his aunt, Vera Roberts; uncle, Forrest McAlexander; brother, Rodney W. Gross and sister-in-law, Barbara Gross; sister, Carol J. Harris and brother-in-law, Dan Harris; sister, Donna M. Miller; and brother, Gary R. Gross and sister-in-law Kristi D. Gross; and thirteen nephews, Wade Harris, Glenn Harris, Lloyd Harris, Brian Miller, Chris Miller, Aaron Miller, Phillip B. Gross, Eric R. Gross, Lance C. Gross, Steven E. Gross, Adam W. Gross, Nathan gross and Michael S. gross; and four nieces, Alicia Moore, Tami Hardway, Angie Jordan and Michelle M. Rollings; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and many cousins and friends.
Brett loved to play his guitar, planting in his yard and reading his Bible. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. Gone home for his final healing.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Add'Vantage Funeral Service Chapel, 9761 East 31st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pastor Chip Bendel will officiate.

Chasity Rena Patterson, a resident of Beggs, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the age of 17. She was born September 7, 1995 to James Patterson and Teresa Flowers in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Chasity attended Beggs High School and was enrolled in OSU-Okmulgee. She was on the Beggs Yearbook staff, member of the Beggs Honor Society, played basketball and was a trainer for the Beggs Football Team. Chasity was a very vibrant, beautiful young girl, who loved life and her little boy, Brody. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Teresa Flowers; grandmother, Daisy Flowers; grandmother, Heidi Flowers; grandmother, Clio Richards and nephew, Ashton Pugh.

Johnny Howard “John” Eldredge, a resident of Okmulgee, died at home on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 76 years of age. John was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on September 20, 1936 to Howard Joseph and Myrtle Frances (Wood) Eldredge. John moved with his family to Garden City, Kansas at a very early age. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a life member of the American Legion in Ulysses, Kansas and the VFW of Russell, Kansas.
John lived in many states, including Kansas, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas and Oklahoma where he worked in the oil fields. He retired to Okmulgee in 1992. John loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Michael Eldredge and Bart Eldredge, sisters JoAnn Watts and Donna June Cummings, and a brother-in-law Julian Darsey.
