The Muscogee (Creek) Nation invites the general public to visit the MCN capital in Okmulgee June 26-28 for the 41st annual Mvskoke Nation Festival.
All Festival events are free to attend. The Festival will open with a stompdance demonstration at 6 p.m. this evening on Thursday, June 25 at the Claude Cox Omniplex in Okmulgee.
The Festival will continue Friday, June 26 – Sunday, June 28 with sports tournaments, children’s and cultural activities, rodeo, parade and entertainment.
This year’s entertainment line up consists of Little Texas, Sawyer Brown, A Tribe Called Red, The Commodores and Kool & The Gang.
Mvskoke Radio host Gary Fife will be broadcasting his show live at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 26.
The iconic MCN Festival Parade will bring in groups from around Oklahoma to march through downtown Okmulgee at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 27.
Murder Nova and Big Chief, stars of Discover Channel’s Street Outlaws, will be signing autographs from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, June 27 at the Mvskoke Dome.
“Come for the rodeo. Come for the entertainment. Come for the cultural activities,” Lowe said. “There’s something for everyone.”

At the Okmulgee County YMCA Parking lot on Saturday - July 18, from 9 a.m. to noon. Children ages 6-12 are welcome. Bike helmets will be given away to the first 100 participants plus there will be a drawing for new bicycle.
On-site registration begins at 9 a.m. and Registration cut off at 11:00am. Adult must accompany child for registration.

Since 1947, the Starlight Band has presented quality, live music to Oklahoma audiences each summer. This summer their concerts are being held at Guthrie Green, 111 E. Brady Street, Tulsa. The Starlight Band performs music ranging from light classics, patriotic music, jazz, Broadway and pop. Starlight Band's outdoor venue Guthrie Green, provides an outdoor setting that is relaxed and comfortable - with the Tulsa downtown skyline providing the background for the concert event. Admission is free. Concert begins at 8 p.m.

There are several options for parking:
1. There is limited free street parking adjacent to Guthrie Green.
2. Central Parking has a public parking garage three blocks from Guthrie Green, at First & Main. Cost is $2 and they accept cash or credit card.
3. Climb aboard the "Starlight Express!" Starlight is offering FREE shuttle service for our Tuesday night concerts. Park at First Christian Church at 10th & Main. Then ride the shuttle to Guthrie Green. The shuttle will run from 7:15-8pm, during intermission, and at the conclusion of the concert. The shuttle trip takes about five minutes.
Celebrate Glenpool’s rich oil history at Black Gold Days. The festival honors the local Glenn Pool oil field. Discovered in 1905 it created numerous oil and oil related companies that helped the city prosper. Black Gold Days is known for its lineup of music performers including bluegrass, gospel, rock and country. It also features a parade, carnival, fireworks display and food vendors.

The City of Okmulgee and a host of volunteers and sponsors will provide an even bigger and better Firework's display all set to digital choreographed patriotic music held at the Okmulgee Municiple Park next to the YMCA.
Come early, bring your lawn chairs and blanket because there will be much happening for the whole family. At 7:30 p.m. things get kicked off. The City of Okmulgee is offering more free food this year! Along with free hot dogs, chips and soda they will be expanding their menu to offer popcorn and ice cream. First come, first serve till it's all gone. Complimentary bug repellent wipes will also be handed out. There will be live entertainment before the show.
A free shuttle route will be provided by Muscogee Creek Nation from Wal-Mart to the Park and back. A portion of 20th street will be blocked off as a safety zone during the event said Police Chief Joe Prentice.
That evening there will be plenty for the kids to enjoy including a petting zoo, kids train, duck pond game, double water slides, face painting and more.
The city has asked that there be "no pets" please and security will be on site.
Okmulgee's Firework's Specialist will guide the firework production that will begin at 9:30 p.m.
The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Employment and Training Department is offering free GED classes for anyone in Tulsa, Okla. on June 22, June 23, June 29 and June 30. Classes will be offered in Bristow, Okla. on June 23 and June 30. Classes will be offered in Okmulgee, Okla. June 23, June 24 and June 30.
The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Tourism and Recreation Department is registering businesses, organizations and individuals to appear in the 2015 MCN Festival Parade on June 27. Everyone in the community is encouraged to create a float. Deadline to sign up in Friday, June 19 at 4 p.m.
The 2015 Muscogee (Creek) Nation Festival begins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19 with the slow pitch softball tournament at the Claude Cox Omniplex in Okmulgee, Okla. The tournament will run June 19-21. The adult 3-on-3 basketball tournament will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 20 at the Mvskoke Dome in Okmulgee.
