Okmulgee County Republicans Meet September 13

This month's Okmulgee County Republicans meeting will feature State Question 777, which is related to Agriculture and has been dubbed the Right to Farm. Our guest speaker is Gage Milliman – East Field Representative for Oklahoma Farm Bureau. Gage, a former OSU extension agent for 9 years before joining the Farm Bureau, will be giving the reasons why the Oklahoma Farm Bureau is in support of this question. Also, Scott Fetgatter, candidate for State Representative District 16 will give us an update.

The general meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Okmulgee Conference Room of the OSUIT Student Union located at 1801 E 4th Street in Okmulgee. The general meeting is open to the public. As a reminder, the county business meeting begins at 6:30 in the same room. We encourage all registered Republicans to attend this meeting to become more involved at the county level.

Note: Trump signs and bumper stickers will be available at the September 13 meeting. For information please contact County Chair Marsheila Prior at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

KK Artworks, is cohosting a Medieval Faire in Kiefer September 30 through October 2. The faire offers historical reenactments, artistic opportunities through both visual entertainment and hands on activities. Some of the on site activities include sword fighting demonstrations and archery demonstrations.

Patrons can try their own hand at archery, while kids can battle with a real live knight (using foam swords). Local Re-enactment groups will be onsite, telling stories of the ages. For those seeking entertainment, they will have aerial acrobatics demonstrations by Tulsa's own Xplor Life. There will also be belly dancers, including Mirage Dance Co, and many of Tulsa's own performers, story tellers, and musicians. Saturday night will end with a LED Hoop Dance.

Over 25 vendors, selling everything from works of art to henna tattoos, to medieval style garb. And of course, local food vendors will be there, for all your BBQ and Indian taco needs.

Admission is FREE, parking is $2.
