Boy Scout Troop 102 Chicken Fried Steak Dinner Saturday Nov. 14

Boy Scout Troop 102 will be having a Chicken Fried Steak Dinner Saturday, November 14th from 11:00 – 3:00 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church Activity Center. The menu includes chicken fried steak, salad, vegetable, mashed potatoes, dessert and drink, all for only $7.00. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling 918-857-6112.

Troop 102 is very active in the community, participating in the posting the colors for the Relay for Life, volunteering with the Salvation Army, helping Rebold Manor with activities, and participating in Veteran’s Day activities to name a few. Troop 102 also camps out every month and participates in Council activities such as merit badge fairs and Camporees. The scouts attend summer camp at Camp Hale for a week each summer. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

“We appreciate the support Okmulgee community has given to our Troop 102. This fundraiser helps in so many ways but my ultimate goal is to buy a trailer for the Scouts to store and transport their gear and equipment for camping,” stated Robert Marek, Scout Master.

We invite all boys at least age 11 or in the 6Th grade to 12th grade to join us. Troop 102 meets Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the St. Anthony Parish Hall. For information please call Robert Marek at 918 758-9143.
